Timberwolves Hire Former NHLer

Miramichi Timberwolves sign NHLer Dave Liffiton
The Miramichi Timberwolves are extremely proud and excited to announce the signing of our new Assistant Coach and former NHL’er, Dave Liffiton.
Liffiton joins the Timberwolves from the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL where he most recently was interim Head Coach during the 2022/2023 season. He will join Head Coach Kory Baker and Assistant Coach Billy Gaston behind the bench eventually transitioning into the General Manager position. Dave brings a wealth of experience to our organization in a time where we are continuing to grow our staff.
Dave, drafted by the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL later went on to play professionally for the Hartford Wolf Pack, Syracuse Crunch and Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL. He then suited up professionally in Sweden, Denmark, and most notably achieved the highest level in his playing career as a member of the Colorado Avalanche and the New York Rangers.
As an organization we are assembling a leadership group that offers our players the best opportunity to grow and develop. With this most recent signing we are confident in Dave’s professional experience to help us do that. Dave will also work with the Timberwolves in further developing our annual Miramichi Timberwolves Hockey School and other development sessions that will soon become available.
On behalf of the Miramichi Timberwolves we would like to welcome Dave and his family to the Miramichi!
